UNVENTED ATTICS: SMALL CHANGE, BIG IMPACT 
Unvented, conditioned attics can substantially improve energy performance while allowing builders to continue locating HVAC systems in the attic space.
Installed on the underside of the roof sheathing, spray foam can be used in any climate. It has the highest R-value of any insulation material, is a vapor retarder, and provides a tight air seal.

Unvented attics are warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Locating the HVAC system in the attic space reduces HVAC load.
